iOS 8.3. 1p 5.4.1. I was checking my iCloud storage and noticed two 1P files of differing sizes. Is this normal? Or is this and case of an old backup, from a previous version? If so, Can I delete one how do I tell which is the old one?

    Hi @rlgleason51,

Were you an iCloud Sync user prior to 1Password 5 at all? I suspect you were and when you upgraded to iCloud Drive it copied the old iCloud Sync data over. Unfortunately it isn't in a usable state so it just sits there alongside the new sync data. As you can see there isn't an easy way to tell. What makes it tougher is because transitioning from the iCloud to the new iCloud Drive is a one-off event it isn't something I can easily set up and inspect before making a suggestion.

Two routes stand out to me at the moment.

    1. You disable iCloud Sync and delete both. When you enable sync again you know whatever is created relates to iCloud Sync via the CloudKit framework.
    2. With this screenshot you know the current sizes. If you were to add a reasonably sized attachment one of those should change in size while the other remains the same. The one that remains the same is the old one which you can then delete. Once you've dealt with the obsolete entry you can then remove the attachment used in the test.

Option 2. is probably the better of the two as long as you're syncing with a Mac (so you can add the test attachment). With that one you don't need to disable and then later re-enable sync. What do you think?

Yes, I was an iCloud sync user before version 5, when I switched over to iCloud Drive. I suspect, the smaller file is the old one as I have added quite a few attachments in the last month or so, which would account for one file being significantly larger than the other. I almost feel confident that deleting the smaller one the way to go but will try option 2 just to be safe.

Safe is never bad  (especially with your vault).

I see why you'd be confident though given that knowledge.

Ran into another issue. I confirmed that the smaller backup file is the old one. When I went to delete it, I received the caution below. Was it referring to that particular file or all of my 1p backups? ( look at the very bottom of the screen shot)

Never mind. Figured it,out and all is resolved.

    Hi @rlgleason51,

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. To be honest, I couldn't have given you an answer with any conviction anyway as reaching that state is really hard once you've made the transition to iCloud Drive. Was it the case that the Delete All button only applied to that one set of data and you could safely delete one without harming the other. That's what I would suspect but I always like to test on my own machines before saying for sure.
