Updated and now stuck
Updated to latest version, and received this message: 1Password cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure 1Password works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install available updates for the application and OS X.
I was running Yosemite 10.10.2, and using 1Password 5. So I installed the latest version of Yosemite, 10.10.3, and then tried to reinstall 5.3.1. Received the same message. Now what??

Try deleting the program (just move it to the trash, don't use an app cleaner as that can delete data also), empty the trash, reboot, and redownload. That often works.

Is there a chance you have more than one copy of 1Password on your system? This would include mounted external drives. For reasons I don't understand, with Yosemite, the application searches more widely than it should for 1Password mini. I had to exclude 1Passowrd from my Carbon Copy Cloner backups and Time Machine.
This is just an idea. I'm not sure if this will apply to you or not.

Thanks, all. I will try your suggestions as soon as I get off deadline, and see if I can get 1Password up and running.

That's great to hear @KT21
As this seems to be resolved I'm going to close this thread but if you have any questions or issues in the future don't hesitate to post!
