Feature request: drag *out* of 1Password
Problem: Some websites disable pasting into password and other fields. However, when using Safari on the Mac, these edit fields always allow drag/drop.
Feature request: enable a user to drag a password (or another piece of data) out of the 1Password app and drop onto a field in a browser (or anywhere else that's a drop target). This gets around the problem of edit fields that won't accept Paste or any other auto-entry method.
Current workaround: copy password (etc.) from 1Password and paste into a text editor like TextWrangler. Then drag from TextWrangler into the edit field (password, for instance) in Safari. I run into this problem often, especially when setting up new passwords and data in 1Password, or when changing passwords.
Using: Mac, Safari. Everything updated.

Interesting idea. You can actually do what you want if you use a little workaround. Unlock the page in 1Password that you want to drag from; select the password by double-clicking (don't need to hit the copy button); click-and-drag the password to your browser password field. Boom!
All Agilebits would have to do in leave the 1Password fields editable for this to work.
The downside is that any stray clicks or typos now have editable fields to infest. So, for the few times it would be needed, the overall risk may be too great.—V0 -
Another approach is a browser bookmarklet to enable pasting on sites that have disabled it. Here is a link.
I don't know if there are disadvantages, but I do know that sites that block pasting from password managers are not doing their users any favors from a security standpoint.

@hawkmoth, thanks so much for the link, I hadn't come across that before!
@dsbenson, thank you for taking the time to contact us with your request! It's definitely annoying when websites prevent pasting in their web forms. For now, I hope the suggestions from vplewis and hawkmoth are helpful for you. If you need anything else, please let us know - we're here for you! :)

I've found that sometimes right-click > Paste will work when the keyboard shortcut will not.
