Multiple vaults on 1Password Pro

I just upgraded 1Password (free) to Pro on my iPad. The additional categories popped up right away, but do not see my extra vaults. I can choose to sync with additional vaults on the ipad, will it erase my primary vault? I would LIKE to easily switch back and forth between vaults since I have to keep my vault (PRIMARY) current as well as the vault of my computer-inept partner.

    Hi @hymansa,

    Syncing an additional vault will not erase your primary vault. That said, it is never a bad idea to take a moment before making any change to your 1Password setup and make a backup: https://support.1password.com/ios-itunes-backups/

    I may have asked the question too soon. I was still looking at the free version which I guess I thought wouldl magically transform into the pro version. I didn't realize until I looked at the app store that there was a different version that I hadn't downloaded. I may have to wait until I get home because it wants me to sync over wifi with my computer at home. Does that sound right?

    Well I have been using D. This is where I found the information about upgrading to Pro. The app store had B as NOT being downloaded so I assumed this was Pro....wrong. I had really expected a kind of yellowish icon for Pro (based on what I saw under 'settings>Pro Features' in 1Password5.

    After paying the $9.99, I got lots more categories in 1Password5 (like I have on my MAC). However, I never saw multiple vaults. I did see 'sync additional vaults' but was afraid I would screw up my primary vault.

    At this point I don't think I have messed anything up. I have just downloaded an old app. It is still not obvious to me how to get multiple vaults on my ipad. You may have given me the link to show that, but if so I missed it.

    Yeah, B is definitely the old version, so you don't need that. Your initial assumption was correct. Unlocking the Pro features all happens within the 1Password 5 app. There isn't a separate download.

    To add additional vaults they need to be synced over from a Mac (Dropbox or WiFi) or Windows PC (Dropbox only). You can find instructions for either in my post above: https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/comment/204030/#Comment_204030
