1Password Folder Sync won't let me press "Continue" after selecting my local vault folder

Hi there,

I'm running 1Password 5.3 (530032) on OS X Yosemite v10.10.3.

We have a Synology NAS and use their Synology Cloud Station client application to keep a network share synchronised with a local folder in our home directories. This works fine and the 1Password vault directory is in sync and up-to-date with the same folder on the network share.

However, when I head to Preferences > Sync in the 1Password app I can choose the local folder for my Primary vault sync (/Users/jamey/Development/1Password.agilekeychain) but once that path is loaded in the "Continue" button is completely greyed out and cannot be pressed.

Looking in the Console app for errors I can see one particular message that occurs when I select my local vault:

14/05/2015 15:22:59.530 1Password 5[7354]: 530032 [XPC:0x608000673780:<OPHelperConnection: 0x61800007b1c0>] E handleXPCError: | Problem talking to the helper: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4097 "Couldn’t communicate with a helper application." (connection to service named 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword4-helper) UserInfo=0x608000664080 {NSDebugDescription=connection to service named 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword4-helper}

Looking on the forums here and elsewhere I've noticed that the solution seems to be "try closing and reopening 1Password and 1Password Mini". I've done this multiples times to no effect. I've also shut both down, deleted the 1Password app from the Applications folder, emptied the Trash, downloaded the latest non-beta version fresh from the AgileBits website and ended up at the same point.

The worse part about this is that my colleague reported this happening on his machine, I reset my Folder Sync in 1Password, and now I can't reconnect the sync at all!

We have 6 licenses for our team so this will quickly become an issue if we can't sort it out in the next couple of days.

Thanks,
Jamey

    Hi @jamey_omobono,

I saw an issue like this recently and I'd like you to send in a diagnostic report to see if it is similar.

I would like you to create the following Diagnostic Report.

Then attach everything to an email to us: support+ forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox. Marking it FAO: LittleBobbyTables will also ensure that whoever finds it knows to bring it to my attention.

Once you've sent the Report a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @jamey_omobono,

Thank you for the email and for posting the ticket ID, it helps immensely

It does show similarities to another case I was involved in recently and we'll be in touch soon over email on how to proceed.

As we are communicating via email I'm going to go ahead and close this thread but if you have any further questions or issues please do post.
