Update Causing Load Failure
I'm getting a "1Password 5 cannot be opened because of a problem." on startup after I ran the last update. I've deleted preference files and tried to re-install to no avail. My password file appears to be fine. Despite the Version showing up as ??? below, I believe (from Info on the 1Password 5 app file) it to be version 5.3.
What approach is most likely to get me up and running right away? Or what other corrective action should I take?

Please try this:
- Drag the 1P app to the trash (don't use any app cleaner tool, which is likely to try to delete files you need to keep).
- Empty the trash and reboot.
- Re-download and re-install 1P.

Hi @markbulk,
Let us know how you get along with Stephen_C's suggestion. It's always cured this ill in the past so I'm confident it should resolve your issue too

Following the instructions exactly worked for me. I will add this to my list of things to do when apps stop working. Thanks!

Hopefully you won't have to again @markbulk but it's handy to know, at least once you also know it won't harm your vault in any way
