Keep logging in with master password

I installed 1P on my Mac OS X and on my iPad/iPhone iOS. Every version is the latest.
Sync via iCloud. Installed the browser extension on my iPad/iPhone.
When I want to enter a website on my iPad, I first go to the site and then I enter 1P to fill the ID and password.
However overtime I do this I have to enter the master password and it drives me crazy. Cannot find the way to avoid to do this.
This must be a common question but I could not find the answer.
Anybody? Thank you!

  • Hi @stefboreel,

Sorry for the inconvenience! Fortunately I think there is an easy solution. :) Have you tried enabling Touch ID (if your device is capable) or a PIN code (if it is not)?

You can read more about that here:

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

Thank you for trying to help, but these solutions do not work for me. I have an iPhone5 so I can forget about Touch ID and using the PIN requires starting my iPhone/iPad with the system PIN and that is not what I want when I am always at home.
There must be an easier way to solve this problem like Lastpass does. I quit LastPass because of an article I read which said that LastPass is 'the best' but it needs more development as it is not fully stable.
1P feels more professional to me but it needs IMHO an easier user interface.
    Maybe you can advise?

    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Hi @stefboreel,

Unfortunately the only way to use a PIN for 1Password is to use one for the system. Without a system PIN we have no way of securely storing the Master Password in the iOS keychain, which is what we have to do to enable you to unlock 1Password with a PIN.

Even with a newer device that has Touch ID it would need to be enabled at the system level in order to use it with 1Password.

Sorry for the inconvenience. At this time the iOS system does not give us any other option.

    Thanks!

    Ben
