Hi @Mjhrich,
I'm sorry to hear 1Password won't open after installing the update!
I am sure we'll be able to help solve this, but first we'll need to know more about the problem. Can you please let us know exactly what happens when you try to open the 1Password app? Do you get any error messages? If so, what do they say? Are you double-clicking the 1Password.app in the Applications folder? If not, how are you trying to open it? The more you can tell us about what's happening (or not) on your end, the better we'll be able to diagnose the issue and help get things all sorted out for you.
Thanks in advance!

Hey 1P-team,
I have the same problem (although I'm not sure which version was updated to which version).
The program crashes with the following error when starting it via the Launcher (space + cmd, typing 1Password - or via the launch bar):

Hi @JSchoeck,
I believe these steps will resolve everything for you
- Quit both 1Password and 1Password mini. You can do this with the keyboard shortcut
⌃⌘Q
when 1Password is open (it doesn't have to be unlocked). - Drag the 1Password application from your
/Applications/
folder to the Trash. Please don't use an app cleaner. - Reboot your Mac.
- Download 1Password again from the same place you purchased it. So via Apple's App Store application if you're a MAS user and from our AgileBits Download page if you're an Agile Web Store (AWS) customer.
With some of the earlier versions we've had some trouble with the update process. We're hoping that going forward that we've resolved it so hopefully you shouldn't need to do this again.
I'm confident that those steps will result in a working copy of 1Password and it won't risk your data.
