Pro features
I purchased 1Password before the new model and my wife was using the app with no restrictions. Now she can't access important information from her app. I realize the rules of the App Store are to blame, but shouldn't agile bits reimburse me for the purchase of the pro features for my wife's app? It's a huge step backward and may drive me to a competitor. I mean I bought the App outright and now I can't use features that were promised. It's ridiculous

Are you using the same Apple ID that you originally purchased the app through ? The In App Purchase is only linked to the original purchasing account. It will not work across accounts. The same issue (possibly) arose for the wife and myself, when family sharing came about. We migrated to a new separate ID's. We had them earlier but used a single purchasing ID in the various stores.
We kept the original (group family id) as a member of our family share due to music and movie purchases. Also due to the restrictions you mention. I ended up purchasing the pro features for both of our accounts again!
I personally don't really think it was a hard sell. I after all use the app, as does my wife to contain our lives and that of our 4 children (all separate vaults). The iOS app has received so many updates over its lifespan. I think it is money well spent. If we don't feed our developers then someday the app could fall into disrepair, is another way of looking at it. Everyone loves free, myself included. But with some app's you get what you pay for. So I am personally willing to allow 1Password the latitude to ensure my safety.
Each year, they have new staff (its a growing company), new devices, each new devices (iPhones, iPads, Macs, Watches, and who knows maybe ATV this year ??? ) All these devices bring new features that didn't exist before. Imagine buying 10, or 20 of each of those OUCH. They just cant skip a generation or they will fall behind the times. Then you have food, servers, office space, Internet usage, membership dues, travel, and the list goes on and on.
I just wasted $5 over the cost of 1 pro upgrade on a bad movie choice in iTunes. It had a 55% rating so it was a good gamble. I have spent way more on In App Purchase for other apps, specifically games like Clash of Clans for the kids. Well they get a monthly iTunes allowance and then they spend it on COC or whatever, but you get the idea.
If I happen to get 2 years out of this In App Purchase on one of our iTunes account... I spent only 0.41¢ per month. If it happens to only be a single year... 0.81¢ a month, I can happily justify that for something that helps ensure my safety in todays world..
Here is some basic info that you can look over about the pro features, https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios-kb/5/en/topic/pro-features-faq It may be you will be able to work abound using the pro features for now.
I am not staff and this is just my personal opinion, er 2¢.

Hi @Kramer_jn,
Did thightower's post help at al, in particular the first couple of paragraphs covering his scenario.
I ask because I just want to make sure I understand what happened. Anybody that purchased 1Password 4 for iOS should have the Pro features enabled as part of a grandfathered purchase. If your wife is using the same Apple ID that was being used before she should have the Pro features. Is your situation similar to thightower's?

It is similar yes. I understand the problem and know it's not on Agilebits but actually on Apple for not allowing family sharing to extend to IAP. I've submitted feedback to Apple about this and will hold out a little longer, but will probably end up just paying for the pro feartures for my wife.

Hi @Kramer_jn,
At least we know we understand your predicament now. We were hoping Family Sharing was going to extend to certain in-app purchases. Obviously it would never apply to those purchases of consumable items (mostly games) but we really were hoping people could make a single in-app purchase and everybody in their family circle would be covered, just like they are on the Mac.
Now depending on how long you and your wife have been making use of separate Apple IDs and how extensive your individual use of iCloud etc. is, you could go back to what worked for you before. It may be that isn't practical now for a multitude of reasons and that the additional purchase may be the easiest way forward. I am sorry there isn't better news to report.
