Restoring Pro on a family device

I know that it doesn't work currently, but it is possible... It just needs to be supported by 1P.

The game Monument Valley has in-app purchases, and when restoring them" the family member's device, it simply prompts for the master account's password. Then the purchases are restored normally.

It sounds like this game is handling their own in-app purchases vs having them handled by Apple... When you say you have to type in the master account's password... Is that their Apple ID password, or a password associated with the account for the game?

This is handled natively by the AppStore. A standard iOS AppStore dialog appears prompting for the user's master AppStore account password.

The game doesn't have an account system in the first place.

Thanks for taking the time to write in, @signe. I did a bit more research into this one to make sure I haven't missed anything, and it doesn't appear that sharing in-app purchases is yet supported by Apple. On this tech note here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203046
