Setting up DropBox sync on iPhone 6 - "No .agilekeychain or .opvault found in Dropbox"
I just set up a trial on my Windows 7 PC. Changed a few passwords in Firefox, all going well. Added to my Dropbox on my PC following instructions. Checked - it's there in apps > 1Password.
Open up iPhone 6. Open Dropbox app. the ws.agile.1Password.settings is the first thing that shows up in list. There is no 1Password folder in Apps though (a couple of other apps are but not 1Password).
Download 1Password for iPhone from App store, connect to dropbox, and it says "No .agilekeychain or .opvault found in Dropbox"
???? No idea what I have done wrong/why it's not showing/how to proceed.
1Password Version: whatever is downloading today
Extension Version: whatever is downloading today
OS Version: 8.1.1
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hi @katenadine,
Could you open up 1Password for Windows for me please and then click on the Preferences button in the toolbar (the one that looks like a cog). The Preferences window should open up with the General tab active but if not click on it for me please. In there it will show you where your vault is being stored on your machine. If it isn't storing it in Dropbox then that would be one reason why your iPhone can't find it.
If the Move to Dropbox button is enabled then you should have a one-click solution to resolving this (as well as it being an indicator that your vault isn't currently in Dropbox). 1Password for Windows will move your vault to
Dropbox/app/1Password/
and then 1Password for iOS should be able to locate it.Does that help at all? Please do let us know how you get along

Hi, thanks so much for responding. It all looks good there I think? BTW I used the sync via wifi for now so at least I have it on my phone. Would love to get the DropBox sorted out for long-term though!

Hi @katenadine,
That does look like it's all good on the Windows front although a separate partition is a non-default location for Dropbox. As long as that was something you explicitly set up though it's fine.
It really should show up on the Dropbox iOS app. If you log into your Dropbox account via Firefox on your Windows machine, can you see
Dropbox/Apps/1Password
and is there a1Password.agilekeychain
folder in there? If there is we've narrow the issue down to Dropbox/iOS, if it isn't there then something is going wrong with Dropbox on Windows. If it's Windows here's a general link to Dropbox's Syncing and uploads section of their help centre. You'll want to ensure Dropbox is syncing what you think it is (both your root Dropbox folder and that selective sync isn't ignoring certain sub folders) and if syncing is properly enabled and up to date.
If the files are in Dropbox but not showing on iOS that is odd. We can mull that over once we've managed to narrow down where the Dropbox issue is i.e Windows or iOS.

Thanks so much for your help. I finally found the issue through your help :) I had an Apps folder on my phone that wasn't set up to sync with my PC, so when I moved to DB on my PC a new apps folder was created. Had a hell of a time deleting it (the program Unlocker provided the solution) but it's now all fixed.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help with this. Thrilled to be able to use the DropBox syncing!
