    Hi @friiscoo ,

(First of all, it appears that you had used your email address as your forum username. I've edited out the domain part. This makes it easier for us to send you '@' mentions, and ensures that your email address is not displayed in a public forum. If you would like your username to be changed to something else, please let me know, I'd be happy to help!)

Just to be sure I understand things correctly: are you able to access your data on your mobile devices at all? It sounds like neither the new Master Password, nor your previous Master Passwords are working.

In any case, I've got a few basic things that we want to check regarding Dropbox first, before we get into the serious troubleshooting:

    • Please ensure that Dropbox is installed and running on your computer
    • Check that you are logged in with the same account on all computers and devices
    • Confirm that Dropbox sync is selected in 1Password > Preferences > Sync on your Mac
    • Confirm that Dropbox is selected in Settings > Sync on your iOS device
    • Confirm that both your Mac and iOS device are reading from the same file path in Dropbox.

If all of those items check out (and you can access 1Password on your mobile devices), let's run a test and see where things are getting tripped up:

    • Create a test entry on your Macs ("Test, Mac") and add some data
    • Create a test entry on each of your mobile devices ("Test, iPhone/iPad/Android") and add some data
    • Does "Test for Mac" show up on either of your mobile devices?
    • Which test entries show up on your Macs?
    • Log in to the Dropbox website and click on the 1Password.html file inside your 1Password.agilekeychain folder
    • Enter your Master Password
    • Do either or any of your test entries show up in your database here?

Please let me know the results of this little experiment - once we have a better idea of where things are going sideways, we should be able to get this straightened out simply for you :)

    Hello,

Thank you for your extensive answer, let's start:

    • fine for username, tks for polishing rough edges on my accounts
    • yes, neither the new Master Password, nor my previous Master Passwords are working but only on mobile devices
    • Dropbox sync is working well between computers (3 macs), new master pwd has updated, I can open, see that changes are reflected correctly as before
    • I can't tell if DrobpBox is correctly set on mobile devices because without master pwd, your're stuck at the entry door, but I assume yes it is
    • 1Password DropBox stuff is updated correctly by looking at time stamps between computer and Android and one iPhone 6
    • On another iPhone 5S, I have kept the unlock by touchId and this is working correctly to access my vault, changes are reflected correctly

    Weird isn't it?

    Best regards
    Francisco

    Hi Francisco ( @friiscoo ),

Thanks for getting back to me with those details. First of all, I just want to confirm that your Master Password is working on the synced copy of your database in Dropbox, and then we'll simply reinstall 1Password on those iOS devices that are not working.

    • Open a browser window and log into dropbox.com
    • Find your 1Password.agilekeychain - inside you'll find a 1Password.html
    • Click on this file and a lock screen will appear
    • Enter your new Master Password - is it accepted?

If the answer is yes, than the sync file in Dropbox is all up to date with your new Master Password (as I suspect it is). Then, we'll just reinstall 1Password on your iOS devices to get that keychain file recognized:

    • Tap and hold on the 1Password icon until it starts jiggling.
    • Press the 'x' to delete it.
    • Reinstall from the App Store.
    • When you open 1Password for the first time, select 'I've Used 1Password before' and find your data in Dropbox.

I hope this gets everything straightened out for you, but if you have any further questions, we're here to help! :)

Well done! this worked by re-installing 1Password on all smartpones.

In fact the Root cause is the Dropbox main password change i made (I suppose...). It's strange that 1p doesnt mention that as the error and ask again for a pwd or something else to resolve the issue

Thank you anyway for your support, case can be closed

    Have a great day
    Francisco
