Master password continually required making app useless?

Using iPad mini. Master password continually required! I log in and before I can copy item back to safari I am logged out. Setting is for 10 minutes. There was an old post of 2011 saying that there were waiting for a fix. Another post said try switching machine off and on again. I did that and it worked the first time, but when I went back to 1password half an hour later the same problem occurred.
Am I doing something wrong or does the app not work for iPads?

    You can set a 4 digit pin in the settings > security and you can set how long before it locks again too. If you type the 4 digit pin wrong once, it will ask for the master password. If you have a iPad Mini 3 or and iPad Air 2, you can use the Touch ID.

    I've set the time lapse for 10 minutes but I get less than 30 seconds. I am using an original IPad

    Hi @fsgd,

    You mentioned that you're using an original iPad, so I'm guessing that you're using 1Password 3 (the latest versions aren't compatible with iPad 1/iOS 5).
