iOS sync over wi-fi issue
Hi all! I've just installed 1Password on my MacBook as well as on my iphone 4s. Put some data into laptop application and now I need to sync iphone with MacBook over wi-fi. But I can't because iphone "doesn't see" MacBook - all I can see is only Refresh list button. What could be the reason and how can I fix it? thanks!

Hi Ben!
It's 1Password 5.4.2. And iOS version is 8.0.2.

@alex_rus: Ah excellent. You're all set from that end, but make sure you're using 1Password 4 or 5 on your computer as well.
Make sure you have Wi-Fi sync enabled on your computer, and then make sure Bonjour traffic is not blocked on your Wi-Fi network as well, or your devices won't be able to 'see' each other.
If you aren't able to set up your network, you can also use a direct, ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection between your devices to sync.
I hope this helps. Please let us know how it turns out! :)

Hi!
so i checked the version of app which installed on MacBook - it's 5.3.
Then I tried an ad-hoc connection - iPhone and MacBook connected successfully.
But nothing change in terms of sync - iPhone still can't see Mac while trying to sync 1Password :(br,

desperate... :(

If even on an ad hoc network the devices cannot see each other then there is almost definitely either a problem with Bonjour (either on the device(s) or the network) or there is firewall or anti-virus software on the Mac causing a problem.
Have you tried restarting your Mac? Sometimes that will kickstart the Bonjour process.

yeah, I made several reboots actually :)
unfortunatelly I'm not that familiar with Bonjour so I need some Mac-driver to help with :)

Please download the free Bonjour Browser utility (3rd party):
http://tildesoft.com/files/BonjourBrowser.dmg
Open the DMG and move the app to your Applications folder and launch it. You should see a listing for 1password4 under 'local' in the list:
Please let me know if you see that.

did what you said
and I see only:
local - 1

Please click the little triangle next to local to expand the view.

pls have a look (it changed to local - 5) for some reasons

by the way, it seems that the view of Bonjour Browser depends on what is chosen here:

maybe I should choose certain option here?

Alex,
I suspect the problem may be the Russian in the name of the computer. Could you please try removing that and see if the devices can then see each other?

@alex_rus: Indeed. Computer names can be pretty restrictive when it comes to network discovery try using a name with only Roman letters and (Arabic) numbers (Edit button in your screenshot above).
However, it is perhaps more likely that the OS X (or other) firewall or security settings are blocking the connection (as I mentioned above).
Since you're using an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection, that takes the router out of the equation -- your two devices are connecting to each other directly. So it will be a configuration issue on one of those that is causing the problem. I see that you've restarted the Mac, but be sure to restart your iOS device completely as well. Please let us know what you find! :)
