Sync where passwords on phone are primary

I make password changes primarily on my iPhone 6. I am worried that if I sync via wifi to my Mac, that since my Mac is the primary vault, then the sync will lose the additions or changes that I have made in 1Password on my phone. ie currently I have 160 logins on my computer, and 167 on my phone. How can I ensure that when I sync, the new ones on the phone will transfer into the primary vault on the Mac, rather than 7 of the new log-ins being deleted from my phone 1Password app?

Oh I am using 1Password 5.3.1 on my Mac, OS 10.10.3. I prefer wifi sync since it seems the most straightforward. Jana

  • Hi @jana57,

Sync (including WiFi sync) is bi-directional. It'll evaluate which changes happened most recent, so as long as you haven't edited the items in question on your Mac more recently than on the iPhone the sync should do exactly as you've described. :)

    Thanks!

Thanks Ben, that's great to know, Jana

  • You're very welcome. It wouldn't hurt of course to make a backup first:

Backups on the Mac happen automatically at regular intervals. :)
