1PW login on my iPhone 6
Trying to open 1PW on my iPhone 6 after successfully doing so before. Now it asking me for my Master Password and when I type it in it breifly shows decrypting and then goes to "please try again." Can open 1PW in Windows on my desktop using my Master PW without any problems. Not sure what to do next. Steve

Yes, I am having the same issue. I just noticed the problem today. Password works on my computer and not on the phone. Should I delete my 1PW app and reinstall it on my phone? Thanks!!

@saw2015wik and @what_happened can you please try restarting your iPhone to see if that doesn't fix the issue?

I've tried multiple times, yesterday and today. No luck. Thanks for your your time and any other thoughts you might have!

Thanks for the update! If you're syncing with Dropbox, let's see if the password is accepted there.
To do so, log into https://www.dropbox.com in a web browser. Locate the 1Password.agilekeychain folder and open the 1Password.html file you find inside. Is your master password accepted there? Also, can you confirm that there's only one .agilekeychain in Dropbox?
Thanks!

Yes, the password was accepted there and there is only one . agilekeychain. Thanks for the help!!

Hey @what_happened. Thanks for checking that!
First things first, disable sync on your iPhone:
- Tap Settings > Sync > Sync Service >Disable Sync
Then, reconfigure sync with your vault in Dropbox:
- Tap Start Syncing > Sync with Dropbox
Make sure to select the vault you just checked the password against in 1PasswordAnywhere. Let us know if your master password is accepted now!

I did try restarting my iPhone before posting my initial comment. I tried it again just now, got the same result. FYI - in setting up 1PW I picked syncing to my computer. My master password is 16 characters long, all letter and numbers.
A small oddity I did notice, may not have anything yo do with my issue. When I enter my 16 character master password on my iPhone I get an unusual result when I type in the 16th character. When I enter the 1st 15 characters I see the usual brief character I just entered before it changes to a "dot" on the screen. When I type in character 16 it goes right to a "dot without any preview appearing.

@peri, Hi... thanks for the help, unfortunately it did not work. I disabled the sync and made sure 1PW app couldn't find/access the .agilekeychain file. Started up the sync again, the app found the new file but no luck. Any other thoughts? Thanks again!!

Hey @what_happened. I'm sorry to hear that didn't resolve the issue. :( Let's go ahead and reinstall the app, since you've verified that your data is safe in Dropbox. Let us know how that goes!
@saw2015wik, thanks for the update! Are you syncing with Dropbox? If so, can you verify whether your password is accepted by the vault in Dropbox using 1PasswordAnywhere. Just open https://www.dropbox.com in a browser, and open the 1Password.html file you see inside the .agilekeychain. Also, do you have more than one vault?

@peri, that did the trick!! Signed in and out a few times, works perfectly again. Thanks again for your time!!

@peri, I sync over my secure Wi-Fi network. I am a new user, I only have one vault, SAWiPhone6 vault

Hi @saw2015wik,
While you won't be able to test 1PasswordAnywhere like what_happened could, you may very well find what worked for him as a solution works for you too. Assuming there isn't anything just in your 1Password for iOS vault (so your Windows vault contains everything too) you could start over in 1Password for iOS and use Wi-Fi Sync to repopulate the iOS device from your Windows machine. Could that be a possible solution for you?

@peri, It seems I was mistaken when said everything was resolved. It seems that after successfully reinstalling and logging into 1PW app 3 days ago, I am no longer able to do so. It has reverted back to whatever was the issue. I tried following the same steps as last time but this time it didn't work.
This time when in dropbox.com (viewing in a my browser) I was unable to access the 1PW vault. After numerous attempts I was able to access it in dropbox. But I also later tried my 1PW on my desktop, the issue was the same.... that the password was being accepted but not every time. I would say that my password is accepted 1 out of 10 times.
I'm not sure if I'm imagining all this... I've managed to export all my logins, but I'm not sure what to do about this. My password is not complicated so I'm 100% positive that its correct. I've been using 1PW for a long time and I've never had any issues.
Any help would be more then appreciated.0 -
@what_happened: That is definitely more than a bit disconcerting. Apart from sync issues (files not being finished uploading/downloading), I'd be looking at the files and the drive.
Keep in mind that any changes -- good or bad -- will be sync'd. If there's damage to files -- or the filesystem itself -- this will end up syncing to Dropbox, so that corrupt data will make its way to your other devices as well. That would account for you having trouble with your Master Password some times but not others, if there's difficulty reading data from disk...or if it's just invalid. This would also explain why reinstalling 1Password helped temporarily as well.
The best thing to do would be restart from a recovery disc, drive, or partition and use Disk Utility to repair the filesystem.

@brenty: Hi, thanks for your support. I've disabled the syncing. I just wanted to clarify...
The best thing to do would be restart from a recovery disc, drive, or partition and use Disk Utility to repair the filesystem.
If on a Mac, this would be going into Time Machine and would I be retrieving the entire app or just the dropbox file?

@what_happened: Sorry for the confusion! I was suggesting that you boot OS X in recovery mode to try repairing the filesystem. That won't fix damaged or corrupt data, but it may prevent things from getting worse — or indicate if there's a more serious problem. Otherwise it may be necessary to contact Apple.

OK, thanks for the clarification. I'll give that a try!

Any time! It just sounds like there might be a deeper disk or filesystem issue, so it's best to start there. Be sure to reach out if we can be of further assistance! :)
