Will 1password be updated to work with Touch ID on IPad mini 3?

The IPad mini 3 supports TOUCH ID but I think 1Password doesn't. Will it?

I can't think of any reason why 1Password would fail to support TouchID on any iDevice that has it. Could you explain why you are concerned about that?

    Hi @cameyet ,

1Password 5 does support Touch ID on iOS. You can read about how to get set up with Touch ID in our User Guide.

If you follow the steps and are unable to get Touch ID working, please let us know where things are getting tangled up (including any error messages you see) and we'll get things straightened out.

Megan - This is from the 1Password web site:
    https://support.1password.com/touch-id-faq/
It says Ipad Air doesn't mention Ipad Mini the only other iPad that has touch id.

I just set it up, it does work however, I just didn't try it, because when I read the documentation, I thought it only worked on the Ipad Air.

  • Hi @cameyet,

Thanks for the feedback. The guide in question mentions:
Device: iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2, or newer.

The or newer is key there. Any iOS device (that is Touch ID capable) post-iPhone 5s / iPad Air 2 will work. :)

That said I can see how the wording would be confusing, and I'll pass the feedback along to our documentation team.

    Thanks!

    Ben
