Any problem with temporarily using wi-fi sync'ing?
Are there any issues with temporarily using wi-fi sync'ing while we're waiting for a fix to this "Failed to fetch..." problem with iCloud sync'ing? I rarely make an changes while "on the move" (i.e., away from my Mac), but will this cause problems when I switch back to using iCloud sync'ing?

Good question, @agile_ra! Switching to Wi-Fi Sync is also an option.
Thanks for bringing that up!

Thanks! Are there any problems (i.e., lost data) when I switch back to iCloud sync'ing? The article doesn't address this (or say anything about switching from wi-fi to iCloud sync'ing).

Perhaps we ought to update the article. Thank you for mentioning this! I think we had always assumed that it should be obvious that switching from any sync method to another will not result in data loss. That would be a bad design indeed! Since the data is stored locally on your computers and devices, syncing isn't quite used for "storage" as much as it used for "transit" if that makes sense. So you can switch sync methods without any negative effects.
Of course, there are ways to get a negative effect like merging two sets of data that you didn't actually want to merge. But if all the data has been syncing via one method and is currently up to date on all devices, merely switching to another sync method should do no harm at all.
Another excellent question!
