Websites saved to homescreen
Open Safari web browser and navigate to a website.
Click Up Arrow and choose Add To Homescreen
Close browser
Find new icon on ios Homescreen that I saved above and open it
There is now no navigation or up arrow in that instance of the browser so therefore no access to 1password to fill in username/password??

That sounds odd to me. I just saved the opening page of this support forum to the home screen on my iPad. When I open the site from there, all the usual tools for Safari are present, including the 1Password extension.

I just tried this on my iPad and had the same problem. The web address is https://ws5.powerportal.com/fcu/engagement#login. I am using ios 8.3.
Thanks!

Clicking on that link gives me a message that the web page doesn't exist. Is there a typo there?

I've fixed the typo in the link that @jzalesne and can reproduce the issue with it. Not sure if there's a way to make that page load normally with Safari when it's opened directly through the Home Screen. Maybe an alternate link added to Home Screen can be used instead, e.g.:
https://secure8.i-doxs.net/CityOfFortCollins/
Or add this one:
http://www.fcgov.com/utilities/residential/conserve/energy-efficiency/peak-partners/help/login
Then use the https://ws5.powerportal.com/fcu/engagement link on that page after Safari opens it normally from Home Screen to open a PowerStory Portal login page where the 1Password extension is usable.
I hope that'll work for you, @jzalesne. There's nothing fixable in 1Password since the trouble occurs elsewhere, before 1Password can even get involved. :)
