Need both IOS and OS X versions?

I have the IOS Pro version for iPhone, do I also have to buy the OS X version if I want to use it on my Mac?

    The short answer is, Yes, you will need to purchase the version for OS X if you want to use it on your Mac. 1Password licenses are sold on a per user, per platform basis, and OS X is a different platform from iOS.

    If you do decide to buy a license for your Mac, be sure you understand that if you ever want to use iCloud for syncing among Apple devices, you must purchase your license from the Mac App Store. Because Apple does not allow access to the required protocols for any applications they don't sell themselves, the version directly from AgliBits can't use iCloud. Both versions use the other sync options.
