I updated my Iphone 6 plus and my fingerprint no longer works to open.

Is there a way to reset my password? I am locked out from 1password since I upgraded to the new IOS system today and I no longer am able to open it with my fingerprint. What can be done since I can't remember the master password.

Please let me know if the User Guide article that JWeaver linked to is helpful. He's right, that's the guide you want to be reading. Unfortunately, there is no way to reset your Master Password. Your Master Password is the only way to access your database. While Touch ID is a great way to ensure that you do not have to type your Master Password multiple times on that small iOS keyboard, your Master Password will always be required after a device restart (the same way that the iOS device itself requires that you type in your passcode after a restart.)

If you find yourself needing to reset 1Password, it's important to choose a Master Password that is easy to remember. Our security expert has a post that can help you create a great one: Towards Better Master Passwords.

I can't remember my master password. Do I need to delete the app from my desktop and start over and enter all of my passwords onto a new app?

I'm sorry to hear you forgot your master password! I noticed you opened a couple different threads about this, so I merged them into the same discussion.

In case you haven't already seen the previous replies, JWeaver gave you a link to this knowledgebase article: I lost or forgot my Master Password. Help!

Near the bottom of that article, you'll see the following:

If you’re sure that you’ve forgotten your Master Password, you will have to start over with a new vault.

The link in that sentence will take you to another article which will help you to start over with an empty vault. You'll be able to find steps for each platform where you use 1Password. On an iOS device, you'll basically be deleting & reinstalling the 1Password app. If you use 1Password on a Mac or Windows computer, the steps for that will be a bit different.
