WiFi Sync Problem

I'm running 1 Password v.5.3.2 on my Macbook Pro, and have 1 Password v. 5.4.3 on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.4). Both software installations appear to be sound.

I have tried several times to sync the two with WiFi, following published instructions; when I press the "sync" button, I get "sync started", but nothing happens until the process times out with the dialog "sync problem" "Error Domain = NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code = 60" "The operation couldn't be completed. Operation timed out."

This is the first time that I have tried to sync the two devices. The WiFi connection seems to be OK between the devices, and I have tried rebooting and reconnecting several times with the same negative results.

I see where others have had a similar problem, but I can't find a clear solution to the problem.

1Password Version: 5.3.2 and 5.4.3
Extension Version: N/A
OS Version: OS 10.10.4
Sync Type: WiFi

    Hi,

Here's a link to the section of the User Guide on Wi-Fi Sync, a quick review of that may be helpful for the basics. On your Mac you may also need to check your firewall settings, specifically is the firewall set to block all incoming connections.

You might also try rebooting your router.

I had read through the User Guide several times, but had overlooked the firewall settings...tweaked those.....problem solved. Thanks!

  • Great! Thanks for the update @Navsail (and for the assistance Stephen and JWeaver). Glad to hear tweaking your firewall settings resolved the issue.
