iPhone 5 was stolen. Need to recover passwords

My iPhone 5 was stolen. Even though i have an iPhone 6 as my primary, i still heavily relied on my old iPhone 5 for my 1Password App and my Music. It does not appear that my 1Password was syncing to iCloud, thus I had to create a new Vault on my iPhone 6, but i need to recover my +/- 30 passwords in 1Password that were on my stolen iPhone 5. I know my Master Password for the vault on the stolen iPhone 5. Does 1Password have my Vault on its secure servers? Can I recover the data?

No one has control of your vault except you. You can send it to a cloud solution for syncing purposes, but only if you initiate the process yourself. Your data are not stored by AgileBits. This is all for your own security. If someone hacks AgileBits or some government entity requires them to give up your data, there will be nothing for the hacker to find or for AgileBits to give up.

If your iPhone 5 was not syncing to iCloud or Dropbox, and if you never manually saved a backup through iTunes, there isn't going to be a way for you to recover your data, unless your iPhone 5 turns up.

If by chance you also have 1Password on your desktop machine, the situation then would be different, because local backups are saved regularly there. But it sounds like this doesn't apply to you, since you say you hadn't wet up syncing for your iPhone.

Sorry to be the bearer of this news. If there is someplace else you think your data might be, then someone should be able to help you retrieve it.

    Hi @Will_Force_1 ,

I'm sorry to hear that you've had your iPhone stolen - that's never any fun! We do have an article in our support documents that talks about how to manage this situation: My device was stolen. Is my 1Password data safe?.

Hawkmoth is correct though, because 1Password allows you to completely control where your data is stored, we do not have your data 'backed up' on our servers. Were you syncing your 1Password data to iCloud or Dropbox?
