@cdiKoch: 1Password Pro has not been available in the App Store for years. It sounds like you were trying to sync with iTunes and the app was removed from your device. Do you mean that you updated iOS through iTunes? That would certainly explain why an old app like 1Password Pro may have been removed.

(Un)fortunately AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password used to secure it, so this isn't something we can 'recover' for you to help directly. Once you install 1Password 5 from the App Store (free download, with an in-app purchase for Pro Features), you will need to either restore your 1Password data from a backup, sync from another device, or simply start over.

Please let me where you have your data stored. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)

Hello, sorry i thought it was the pro version but its the 5 th. version.
I´ve udated from the App Store to my iPhone and after the Update i can push the open Button
but nothing works and the App isn`t on the iPhone anymore. I even cannot move
it from iTunes to the iPhone.
I just did the backup on iTunes may be on iCloud but I´am not sure.

    Thank you

    Hi @cdiKoch,

Let's start with a couple of routine things, see if they have any difference.

    1. Reboot your iPhone. Does this allow you to open the 1Password app?
    2. Is the app visible in Spotlight on the iPhone? If you've not used Spotlight before (can't say I'm a big user of it) then on iOS 8 you activate it by performing a swipe down movement just in the middle of the home screen. Is 1Password visible and does anything different happen if you attempt to launch it from there?
    3. On your iOS device go to Settings > iCloud > Backup. Is iCloud Backup enabled or disabled? If it's disabled then on your Mac launch iTunes and check the Devices tab of iTunes's preferences. Do you see a recent backup in there for your device?

With number 3. we'll figure out if we can try to remove the misbehaving 1Password app without loss of your vault. With 1 & 2 we're trying to figure out what has happened. Whatever it is, I think the issue is more at the iOS level as it sounds like the trouble happened even before you could launch the app once. Do you happen to store your vault anywhere other than your iOS device by the way?

    Hi,
    1. No
2.In Spotlight i could only see the old 1Password version ( the blue one with the key ) but it does´t work. I think thins last
year i´ve been working with the new version.
    3. iCloud Backup is enabled!

I´m looking forward to hear from you.
    Thank you very much

  • Thanks for the additional information, @cdiKoch. Could you please tell me if you open this page on your iPhone what do you see?

    Please let us know.

@cdiKoch: Hi! Well, that's carnally strange. Unfortunately there isn't anything that 1Password can do about this. Something is simply wrong on your iOS device. There are really only three things you can do in a situation like this, since iOS is essentially acting like it does not exist:

    • Delete 1Password manually from within iOS Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage
    • Restore to factory settings and then restore from an iCloud or iTunes backup
    • Contact Apple

This first one is a no-brainer. No harm in just deleting the app manually and reinstalling it — if iOS will let you. But depending on your comfort level and how self-reliant you want to be, you may need to either reset the device or contact Apple directly to guide you on how to proceed. Whatever the case, please let us know how it turns out!
