Can I duplicate a membership?

hi - I'm a bit surprised I can't seem to easily duplicate a membership card ? I can share one, but why no duplicate (so I can use it as a template for a similar card?)

Hi Tim ( @365nice ),

You are correct – duplicating an item with 1Password for iOS is not currently possible. That's a feature we'd like to add in the future and I've noted your interest in the request we have filed for it.

If you're syncing with 1Password for Mac or Windows it is possible to duplicate items there that can be customized as templates, then sync them for use with 1Password for iOS.

Hi @marker,

I have good news. This feature has already been implemented. On an item select the "move and copy" option, and then copy it to the same vault that it is already in.

Hi Mark,

I'm trying to reproduce the problem you are running into, but thus far I've been unable to. I just reinstalled 1Passwor 6.3.1 (I normally run our beta version) and attempted to duplicate an item. It duplicated using the steps I listed above just fine.

Locate the item:

Select "Move and Copy":

Tap on the vault the item already exists in. You should now have two of that item:

If this still isn't working for you could you please tell me a little more about your experience? What type (category) of item are you trying to duplicate? I tried it with both a Login and a "Rewards Program" item. What, exactly, happens when you tap on the vault name of the vault the item already exists in?

Dear Ben,

Thanks for the guide. It works :) here is why I couldn't figure it out and two suggestions for the future...

I played with it a number of times until I got it working. The step I was missing was that it is not obvious the user needs to click on the vault name. They don't look like buttons and in the list of vaults the correct vault was preselected so I just clicked Close (and therefore nothing happened).

I would recommend having them not be radio buttons and instead just be a standard button to click as to which vault the user wants. You might also consider renaming "Close" as "Cancel".
