Can I move my 1Password pro license from one app store (Germany) to a different one (US)?

Hi there,

I bought a 1Password pro license on the German app store. Now I would like to switch to the US app store. Can my license be transferred?

Otherwise for every single update of 1Password I would need to switch app stores back and forth, which is really a pain.

Thank you!
Wolfgang

I don't believe Apple makes this possible. Unfortunately it is an Apple problem because AgileBits has no control over the way the Apple app stores work. You'd have to see if you could make any progress with Apple but, on the basis of what others in a similar situation have said, I'm not optimistic.

    Thanks, Stephen.

So you guys could not simply add the pro license to a certain Apple ID on the US App Store (my new Apple ID) and revoke the pro license from another certain Apple ID on the German App Store (my old Apple ID)? :)

Unfortunately not. AgileBits don't even have any information about your purchase, Apple does not supply that to developers.

If Apple won't help you, you will just have to face the hassle of switching stores from time to time.

  • Hi @WolfgangBremer,

Stephen_C and danco are correct: unfortunately Apple doesn't even allow us to see any details about your purchase, let alone change them.

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Apple said they can't do anything about it either. Sad. Not really willing to buy the pro license again and not really willing to always switch App store when updates are available. :(

  • Sorry about that, @WolfgangBremer. Unfortunately the App Store doesn't allow as much flexibility in this area as we might like.
