Both of the features you mention have been mentioned a number of times on these forums. However, specifically in respect of photo storage I'm not sure that 1P will ever develop into that sort of app. It's really not designed for bulk storage of photos (although, of course, using 1P for Mac you can add a photo as an attachment to a 1P item, sync the 1P data to an iOS device and then view the attachment). I suspect the reason 1P is not, and perhaps will never be, designed for storage of photos is the substantial overhead that would have on syncing 1P data between devices.
By the way, these are merely my opinions. I don't work for AgileBits and am merely a volunteer here.
