I suspect that many devices (up to 950 million) will never be patched simply from being too old! :(

    @wkleem: Yep. I wish there were something more positive I could say about this. I guess we'll just have to wait until next month for more details to see just how bad it is and what options (if any) users have to mitigate this... :(

    @brenty, Stagefright was worse than initially thought. The first patch failed to resolve it so a second patch is neccessary.

    @wkleem: Indeed. It's pretty ridiculous, but that's what happens when you give everything a persistent internet connection and try to automate things. Not looking forward to the flood of Smart Toaster exploits in the coming years. :lol:
