Hello,
i am at the ADOBE website for the login process. 1Passoword recognize the Adobe-Site, but the automatic fill in doesn't work.
Several weeks ago, i had no problem with the automatic fill in at this site.

I test it with my windows 10 system, there is the same problem. So thats not alone at Mac systems.
Do you have the same problem?

Bye

Björn

The usual solution for problems like this is to re-create and save the login manually. Have you tried that?

    What happens if you:

    1. go to the Adobe login page;
    2. with 1P unlocked press ⌘\?

(⌘\ is the keyboard shortcut for 1P to fill in login details.)

    Hi @pONd74,

I'm assuming other sites are working properly and that the issue is just specific to Adobe, is that assumption correct?

It's odd. I can't replicate on my Mac and the Login item I created a while ago while visiting their US page works fine on the German one - I did consider whether there was something different or not.

The one thing I can't test, but don't think is an issue, is your current keyboard shortcut. I need to use ⌥3 to create a # so ⌘# isn't possible on a UK keyboard. I figure the German keyboard has # where we have \ and that those are actually the default keyboard shortcuts. Given you can't get it working by clicking on the extension button I doubt the shortcuts are involved anyway.

This is what my test item looks like, how does it compare to yours?

I'm also including the JSON of my test item below. If you copy the entire block into your clipboard you will find a new menu item becomes available in 1Password for Mac which you can find in File > New Item from Clipboard. You'll want to rename the title so it's easy to distinguish from your own items. Does this item, that does fill for me, work for you?

If that doesn't work it might be worth trying a reboot, just to make sure something weird isn't at play. You'd be amazed what can sometimes seem to gum things up. Keep us informed!

This is the complete new entry for adobe.com. But it doesn't work.?!

    -
    NEW UPDATE:

    Sorry for my bad english:

I made a complete new trial. And this work, as well as yours.

    What I have done differently:

I have registered with the DUMMY everything by hand. I did not copy and paste for my email and my password.
Is this the way, nothing to write with copy and paste?

Unfortunately my Passowort is so complex with Adobe because of course copy and paste useful.

He might copy something else with copy and paste?

I have an account for Adobe Creative Cloud. When I go to the main Adobe.com page and then click on the Sign In option at the top, I am taken to the sign in page. If I then press CMD+\, my credentials fill in normally and are automatically and successfully submitted. This is with a login record I created quite sometime ago.

To be sure, I recreated the Login record by following the directions at How to manually save a Login. That new record also works to give me entry to my account.

I would paste in the actual sign in URL, but it is huge. If it would help, let me know and I'll add it. It begins exactly as you (@pONd74) show in the post just above this one.

I realize that this doesn't sound like much help, but at least I'm not dealing with a dummy account. I am in the US, if that matters.

    Hi @pONd74,

    To summarise.

    1. You can fill with a test item I created.
    2. You can fill using a test item you create if you type into the two fields.
    3. If you paste your real email address and password in and create a brand new Login item that still doesn't work.

Let's see if we can narrow down the issue.

    1. What happens if you create a new test item and paste in your real email address but type in a dummy password?
    2. What happens if you create a new test item and type a dummy email address but paste in your real password?

I apologise. I don't understand why you are seeing such odd behaviour. It might also be worth considering clearing Safari's cache and rebooting if you haven't already. Something really doesn't make sense here but I don't understand what.

Let us know if we learn anything from those tests or if a reboot helps

    Hello littlebobbytables,

i test it. And all points are working fine:

Let's see if we can narrow down the issue.

What happens if you create a new test item and paste in your real email address but type in a dummy password?
What happens if you create a new test item and type a dummy email address but paste in your real password?

Also it work today, if i copy and paste the EMAIL and PW at the ADOBE site and save it as new item in 1P. In my YouTube video it is not working.

    BUT:

If i go into 1P, make a new item and COPY and PASTE the PW and EMAIL from the old item to the new item, without to use the adobe-login-site, the Adobe auto fill in doesn't work.

Now i made my Adobe-Login with copy and paste over the ADOBE-Site and save it as new item in 1P. It works. Perhaps, all off my old Adobe-Logins (3 one) in 1P are crashed and so they doesn't work.

    I don't know it.

    Ok, i have an update.

Now, i want to change my email-adress at Adobe.com. I go to the login-site of adobe and took my new LOGIN from 1P. Everything works fine.
Ok, i go to my adobe profile and pressed the button to change my email. Now, a new windows comes and i should fill in my login information. It is a security step, to fill in it 2 times.

At this browser window, 1P recognize the login window but the auto fill in doesn't work. SHIT

I think, there is something with the adobe site. Because, i have this problem on two computers (windows and mac) with the adobe site and no problems with other logins (258 items) in 1P.

I think, i must and will live with it.

    Thanks

    Hi @pONd74,

There is a known quirk when you have to re-authenticate yourself. Did the page in question have your email address filled in and was the field non-editable? What I've found in my testing is the first time we try to fill it doesn't work but if you attempt to fill a second time it works and I could successfully log in. We do have reports about that site though so it is troublesome for some people.

No in reference to your first pos. So you're saying a Login item saved from the browser, so one using our How to manually save a Login guide works but if you create what I call a basic Login item, one from inside the main 1Password window it doesn't work, is that correct?

It's odd, a basic item works for me but I almost expected it not to. I noticed that in the item created from within the browser that there was two sets of username and password fields as the Login page has a hidden view for those with an enterprise ID. Thinking about it we don't interact with hidden fields so there was never going to be any confusion.

I am sorry you're having such a fight with this site. If I create a Login item from within the browser it works for me as does a basic Login item. Given the ease I seem to be having it should be the same for you but clearly isn't. It's odd because we're both running the same version of 1Password, same extension version and both using Safari (based on your YouTube video). We really should be having similar results.

The only thing you haven't confirmed if you're willing to test is the following.

It might also be worth considering clearing Safari's cache and rebooting if you haven't already.

    Hello littlebobbytables,

yes, i test it with the deleting of the Safari cache and rebooting. In my new video, you can't see it, but i tested the rebooting.
Sorry, your text is not so easy for me to read. My english is not so good and the google translator is not so good, too :-)

But i made a new video of the "new" problem. My first problem with start-login-adobe-site is cleared. But the problem with the second LOGIN-ADOBE-SITE is still alive.

I hope, i answered all your questions with the video ;-)

    Hello @pONd74,

I will try to make it easy for Google Translator. The good news is you have a Login item that works on the first page. The bad news is that the same Login does not work on the second page and I do not know why. It is also strange that your new Login item works on the first page. I do not believe you are doing anything differently since we started talking but the new Login works while the old Login does not.

It is strange. I can make a new Login item using our guide (How to manually save a Login) and that Login item works on both the first page and the second page. I was careful and did this on the German page of Adobe's site. Yet you have your video showing it does not work for you. We are both running 10.10.4, 1Password 5.3, Safari 8.0.7 and Safari Extension 4.4.2. It is frustrating - we should see the same behaviour.

Ok, i understand now you text without Google-Translator. Thanks ;-)

Yes, it's very strange. I made a second test at another computer, with Firefox Browser and Windows 10. All version are uptodate.
It's the same problem. The second Login-Site doesn't work with the auto fill in :-/

    Very strange.

    Hi @pONd74,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm still perplexed. I've tried both OS X and Windows 7 and I can't reproduce your experiences despite the fact that you can easily and repeatedly do so. With Windows I started off testing the Login item I made in 1Password for Mac and then created a brand new one on the Windows machine and tested that too. Each test I've done has 1Password filling not just the initial login page but also the confirmation one where the email address is already filled in. I haven't tested Windows 10 specifically but there shouldn't be any difference in filling between these OSes.

I don't know what it might tell us but at this stage I can only suggest we take a peek at a diagnostic report.

I would like you to create the following Diagnostic Reports please, one for each device. These guides will assist.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums

The email address you will want to use is support+forum@agilebits.com.

When sending the first diagnostic report to the address above it would help immensely if you could include a link to this thread and your forum handle so we can connect the two. For additional diagnostic reports please wait for the automated reply that will be forthcoming. If you either reply to that email or use the email subject as is it will allow our system to link the emails together as belonging to a single issue.

Once you've sent the reports a post here with the ticket ID will help us to keep an eye out for it. With access to the report we should be able to better assist you
