Suggestion : 1Password sharing from iPhone to computer web browser

Hello there !!,

I don't know where put this idea, so I say it here.

I am often on the go and have to use someone else computer to access internet. So i get my iphone and manually type the (complex) password that is on my iphone on the computer. What would be really nice is that if i could simply do a copy and paste.

So here is my idea : implement a web server in 1password iOS with the 1Password.htlm file. Just need to type the iphone IP (Or Bonjour address) then we would have a login webpage to 1password Safe, and from there, you just need keep the web page open on the side to copy and paste the passwords you need as you go !.
Plus you're sure that when you leave with your iPhone, there no way to access your codes from the computer you used (Except for a Keylogger or Clipboard history software…)

Here you go.

Thanks in advance,

Franck.

@Francky76: Indeed! Dropbox already does this for 1PasswordAnywhere, so I'm not sure that we'll be adding a web server to 1Password for iOS...but it's certainly something we can consider for a future version. Thanks for letting us know you want this! :)

    Hello @brenty,

Thanks for your reply. You're right, I hadn't thought about connecting to my dropbox using the web interface, then opening 1PasswordAnywhere from there !! Silly me !!.

So, yes, if you sync your data using dropbox, you don't need to have a way to connect your iphone to your computer. But if you don't, it would be nice to display the 1PasswordAnywhere from you iphone on your computer, using Bonjour technologie or an internal IP adresse.

Thanks for your reply, that gives me a solution and thanks for taking in considération my idea, that may bring a solution to the non dropbox users.

Any time! Thank you for the suggestion and feedback. You can make good use of 1PasswordAnywhere for the time being, and we'll see if we can improve that or offer other options in the future. Cheers! :)
