trouble syncing 1 password logins iphone 6 with ipad with icloud

When trying to sync iphone 6 with ipad with icloud, I get the message "failed to fetch some record zones 1 Password encountered a problem."
icloud backup is on on both devices.
I saw some other posts with the same problem back in June, but it seemed the problem had been resolved.

    Hi @mcrobin,

    I'm sorry you're getting that error message when trying to sync with iCloud! The problem from back in June gave the same error message but was caused by something else in iCloud which I believe Apple fixed on their end.

    Recently, some customers have started seeing the same error message appear after removing the 1Password data from iCloud using the Settings app on iOS (or System Preferences on a Mac) rather than from within the 1Password app. Did you by any chance do that on your iPhone or iPad? If so, the steps below will help to get things back up and running correctly again:

    1. Make a backup of your 1Password data on iOS like this: https://support.1password.com/ios-itunes-backups/
    2. Remove 1Password from one of your iOS devices.
    3. Reinstall 1Password on that iOS device.
    4. When you open it, please choose "Create New Vault".
    5. Enter the same Master Password as before.
    6. Sync this new vault to iCloud. You shouldn't get any errors.
    7. Restore the backup you created in step one.
    8. Re-sync and it'll ask to merge the data. That's fine.
    9. Let it finish then you can try re-syncing 1Password on your other iOS device to iCloud.
