Promo Code + License Upgrade? [coupon discount can't be combined with license upgrade discount]

Is it possible to use the promo code from iOS to upgrade from an old version of 1Password (in this case 1PW2) to the current one? The email doesn't seem to imply in any way that it can't, but entering the code online says:

The coupon is valid, but none of the items currently in your cart are eligible for coupon discounts. If you add additional products to your cart, they will have the discount applied.

    Hi @ankushg,

    Thanks for asking about this. Because your existing 1Password for Mac license is eligible for generous discount upgrade pricing you won't be able to apply the coupon discount on top of it. I'm sorry that wasn't clear in the email or when you entered the coupon code.

    If you have other questions or need help with anything else, please let us know. I hope you'll want to grab the upgrade with the license discount even without the coupon. :)
