Locked out of master password

Is there any way to log in and retrieve my usernames and passwords using just Touch ID? Or is there any way to reset the master password?

My master password keeps getting rejected. I always use the same master password on apps, with very little variation, so I'm surprised this one is not the one I would have used - I've also tried every other password that I have used in the past thinking it might be one of them, but they all keep getting rejected as well. I use this app for usernames more than passwords (I have different usernames for all my bills accounts) and I really need to access them!! I don't remember being prompted for my master password last month when I paid my bills; I think I just used Touch ID. Please help :(

    You will be required to reenter your master password anytime your device is restarted. Touch ID will then resume working as you are used to. There are also internal settings in 1Password itself that control the frequency with which you are asked for your master password. But you won't be able to change those until you can get access to the application.

    You may not like this news in your circumstance, but this is part of the process to secure your data. Ultimately, your database is protected from intrusion by that master password, so if you are being asked for it now, the only way you will be able to regain access to your data will be to provide the master password.

    There is a guide on what things to try when your master password isn't accepted (isn't entered correctly). You should give them a try. They are in this document: I lost or forgot my Master Password. Help!

  • Sadly @hannahoh, I can't offer anything more positive over what hawkmoth has written. If you're being asked for the Master Password then at this stage only entering the correct password will allow you to proceed. I hope you can regain access to your vault.
