Password not syncing with mobile devices
While in the passenger seat of a car, I went to check a password on my iPhone. I accidentally hit the x as we were going over a bump. Anyway, it deleted the password. When I got home, I went on my desktop & created a new password. Problem is that it didn't sync with my iPad or iPhone. That was a first. What I then did was to manually copy the password onto my iPhone. When I went to open it (with a copy & paste) the app wouldn't recognize the password. I checked that I copied the password correctly 4 times. Still can't open the app. That & the fact that it didn't originally sync onto my devices is the question!
1Password Version: 5.5
Extension Version: 4.4.2
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: iCloud

@solitaryman1: Your 1Password data is only stored on your device unless you sync it to another. Until you set up sync (for instance, after you deleted the app and reinstalled it) your vault will be completely self-contained and not sync with any other devices. And if you created a new vault after reinstalling instead of syncing it with iCloud, that will explain the confusion.
Regarding Master Password issues, AgileBits has neither your 1Password data nor the Master Password used to secure it, so this isn't something we can 'reset' for you to help directly. However, please try the tips in this guide as they may help you gain access again:

If that doesn't help though, you will need to simply start over ad sync your data from your other device. Please let me know how it turns out. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi brenty, This was important to me because it was a banking app. I simply trashed the password and reset after I deleted & reinstalled the mobile apps on my devices and bingo, they all synced. I have one question/suggestion though. I think you should add another step in the editing page of the mobile version of 1Password for all logins. Since I mentioned in my first email that I was in a car when I wanted to check a password that I was using....I revealed the password and as went to hide it we hit a bump and I accidentally hit the x and deleted the password. That is how my trouble started. My suggestion is that when the x (delete) is hit, an "Are You Sure" dialogue box pops up. I think that "extra" step, for safety purposes, would be appreciated by all.

Greetings @solitaryman1,
I have to say, I'm a bit confused. If you're taking about viewing the password of an item in your vault then the x for clearing a password is only visible if you're in edit mode. Even then, if you cancel edit mode the changes wouldn't be saved. Of course I'm a bit puzzled because you don't need to edit an item to view a password. When you're in view mode if you tap on a password you can copy, reveal or even use large type depending on how visible you want to make the password.
Obviously precautions are a very good idea so the reason I'm querying is to ensure I understand the situation and sequence of events that transpired

@solitaryman1: Sorry for misunderstanding! Since you didn't specify what "x" you were referring to, I had thought from the context that you'd deleted 1Password itself! And as lil bobby mentioned, it's quicker and safer to reveal a password (or copy it) without going into Edit mode. But even then you'd need to not only delete the password but press "Done" to save the change. Better safe than sorry!
