secure notes

Hi,
I installed a free 5.5 version on my iOS device where a 3.7.2 PRO version was happily installed. I imported everything fine without problems (well done guys!).
I noticed a weird issue: Secure notes are... not secure at all! I mean that despite the behavior of secure notes on 3.72 version, I can immediately read the secret notes values without even open them. They are listed just under name of the notes so their secret values may be easily lurked.
I didn't find a specific settings for fix/set/change it.

May you help me on that?
I'm going to unlock pro feature but this issue disappointed me: I use secure notes so often!
Thanks

  • Hi @armybot,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us!

Do you mean that you do not have to unlock 1Password with your Master Password (or Touch ID / PIN if enabled) before you can view the contents of Secure Notes?

Once you've unlocked the app the only fields that are concealed are password fields, so if you are indeed first unlocking the app, then that would be expected behavior.

    Please let us know. :)

    not exactly.
    I unlock with touchID.
    I choose categories, Secure notes.
In the secure notes window I immediately see: the note icons, the names (in bold) and the secrets (in grey).
If I tap on one of them I see its details (but the secret was already shown in the previous window with all notes sorted alphabetically.

  • Okay, yes, understood. That is working as intended. When you unlock your vault with Touch ID the only fields that'll be concealed are the password fields.

    Thanks!

    Ben
