2FA code for Microsoft is recognized on desktop but not in iOS apps

I have two-factor authentication set up for my Microsoft account. When I log into it via Safari on my iMac, it asks for my 2FA 6-digit code (supplied by 1PW) and it works fine. But when I try logging in using any of the MS Office or OneDrive iOS apps on my iPhone, it doesn't recognize the generated 2FA. Any ideas why? I'm running Yosemite on my iMac and the OS9 beta on my iPhone 5s.

    @joecab: This will happen if there's a discrepancy in the date and/or time. TOTP stands for Time-based One-Time Passwords, and they are generated using a Secret and the current time, so if the system clock is off in any significant way, the TOTP code will be invalid. So the best place to start would be by comparing the time across your devices. Please let me know what you find. I look forward to hearing back from you! :)
