Password Change and iCloud syncing problem
Hi, had weird thing happen today.
I noticed that my master password for 1password didn't work, and somehow mysteriously reverted over to the device password I use on my iphone. I've had these passwords separate for months, and thought it was very strange that the 1password master password could change over to my device password.
So I decided to remove my iCloud data and do a new sync after changing the password back to what it was before. Then I encountered syncing problem that I saw others have experienced. For now I switched over to Dropbox syncing.
How could this happen? Thanks.

Hi @njthomas,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us with this concern, as well as with the issue re: iCloud sync.
I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your iPhone and send it to us please. Instructions can be found here:
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.html
Then attach the entire file to an email to us:
support+forum@agilebits.com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can quickly track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
Ben

Note, after the initial issue I synced to Dropbox and deleted the 1password app and reinstalled it. It still does not sync to iCloud and says "failed to fetch some record zones".
Thanks.

Hey njthomas,
I see that Laura is replying to your email to resolve the "Failed to fetch some record zones" issue.
I did also want to briefly mention that neither we nor any other developer have any way of knowing what your device passcode is. Thus, it is impossible for us to do (i.e. program 1Password to do) what you describe regarding your Master Password using your device passcode. Your Master Password is always something that you set yourself, so it's possible that you set the Master Password to be the same as your device passcode. But there just isn't any way for 1Password to change it behind your back. If that were possible, that would be a very large security hole in iOS that Apple would need to address immediately. But I can assure you, that is not the case.
I'm going to close this thread to avoid any confusion (and so that you don't have to check multiple places for a reply from us). We'll work with you via email until all is resolved. :)
