Failure to wifi sync vault to iOS from Mac for the first time
We have just installed 1password on the entire family's macs and iPhones. Out of 5 laptops and 5 iPhones. I set it up to wifi sync for all the devices, it worked on 4 of them fine first time for all them except for one. I set it up, typed the secret code on the iPhone, and then the master password, and the prompt disappears and then reappears. This happens indefintely. I looked up similar problems on this support site, and tried quitting the program, and the menu bar, and the app, then i attempted restarting the computer and the phone, then i attempted an ad hoc wifi between the phone and the computer. each time it won't accept the password and sync to the iOS app. Any help would be appriciated let me know if there is anything else you need to know.
1Password Version: mac-5.3.2, iOS- 5.5
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: OSX 10.10.5, iOS 8.4.1
Sync Type: wifi sync

@m_ws33: It's good to hear that you're only having trouble with one device. However, it isn't clear from your description what isn't working exactly. If you haven't set up 1Password on that device, please try simply restarting and then reinstalling 1Password to see if that helps.
Unfortunately without some basic information it's hard to say what might be going wrong and how we might right it! Please tell me the OS, 1Password, and device versions you're using (especially the one you're having trouble with!), the exact steps you're taking, and what is (or is not) happening the way you expect so we can figure out the best plan of action. Perhaps a screenshot would help! To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:
The more information you can give, the better. Thanks in advance! :)

I actually did! I typed it into the fields for it after my comment, its below my comment where i have the 1password version for mac os, iOS, and the os that they both are in smaller text. The problem is that when i try to do the first wifi sync to take the vault we've filled with passwords on the mac, to his phone, (his phone isn't set up yet, i tap the sync with existing vault, then tap the wifi sync option, type in the secret code, then the password, but it rejects the password and never syncs). I will back up the mac's vault, and delete and reinstall it today, hopefully it helps. Is that more clear? thanks.

Does his Master Password have any non-standard US-ASCII characters in it, by any chance (anything with an accent or umlaut or anything like that)? 1Password has trouble with characters like that, and I've seen this cause similar issues, which is why I ask.

@m_ws33: Sorry for the confusion! I see that, but it doesn't give me any indication between which of the 10 devices in particular the issue lies, so I asked for some clarification.

ah, okay its a 13 inch 2011 bmp and an iPhone 6. I deleted the program, reinstalled, and restored the vault from backup on the mac, and still won't accept the password to do the sync to ios. and it is completely ASCII compliment. no crazy characters. The next thing to do is upgrade his phone to iOS 9 and update the iPhone app i suppose.

Hi, I updated his phone, and the app for iOS to iOS 9 and the latest 1password, and it still did not work. Like I said before, at the same time, several other iPhones and MacBooks in this house worked fine, so while I'm almost wondering if its something like the wifi or something, it has already worked albeit with different physical devices....

Okay. I'd like to ask you to create some Diagnostics Reports, one from this iPhone and one from the Mac you're trying to sync with.
—Mac—
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/mac.html—iOS—
https://support.1password.com/diagnostics/ios.htmlAttach the Diagnostics Report to an email message addressed to support+forum@agilebits.com.
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here so we can track down the report and ensure that it is dealt with quickly. :)
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks very much!
