I am still puzzled and I have read the user guide.
I am getting a bit disillusioned with 1Password. I do not understand how to install the plug in for my iPad, despite reading the guide. I could not even get into support without copying and pasting the password from my 1Password App! Hardly time saving. Also when going into Share there is an icon for 1Password but only shows 1 credit card and very little else and no facility to view log ins etc. Can someone please help me understand this aspect of 1Password. Another issue is that when I log in to 1P it asks for a code, which I provide. It always comes back with error, but carries on to allow me to enter my master password. What is the point of the passcode?

Hi @billbirch,
Thanks for taking the time to write in. I'd be happy to help you with these issues. It actually sounds like everything is working as intended, and some explanation is necessary.

Based on your next comment, it sounds like you do have the extension enabled:
Also when going into Share there is an icon for 1Password but only shows 1 credit card and very little else and no facility to view log ins etc.
1Password will only show logins in the extension when the URL/website field in one or more of your logins matches the website you are currently viewing. For example if you are on google.com you will not see logins for yahoo.com, but should see any for google.com.
Another issue is that when I log in to 1P it asks for a code, which I provide. It always comes back with error, but carries on to allow me to enter my master password. What is the point of the passcode?
You're entering the wrong PIN then. :) You can change the PIN in 1Password > Settings > Security. Note that this is NOT the same PIN (and should not be) as your device PIN. When a PIN is enabled, and entered correctly, the Master Password is required much less frequently. If the PIN is entered incorrectly, or the device is restarted, the Master Password will be required. When entered correctly the prompt for the Master Password will be skipped.
I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

Hi Ben, thanks for the very helpful explanation. I think it was the fact that agile bits support was not auto filled , that made me think it was not working correctly.

You're very welcome Bill. Just to be clear: you're all set now? Items are filling in properly?
Thanks!
Ben
