Can't edit Notes [known issue, will fix]

Updated iPhone 5S to iOS9.0. Installed latest version of 1Password 6.0. Now I can no longer edit my Notes. Select a note, view it, scroll up and down is fine. Select edit, then tap on a location to begin editing and the edit text area shrinks to only 2 lines. This is similar to the same problem that happened less than a year ago and took months to fix. Please help soon... I need access to my notes, and if this is going to be a repeat occurrence I need to switch to a different app. Very frustrating.

    Dito. Same here on iPhone 5, iOS9, 1Password 6. Can only edit a small window of 2 lines in a secure note, which is almost impossible to work with.

    Me too. Oh man, isn't this a problem we've had before? Once again, I appreciate all the work that goes into this, but doesn't agilebits test these things before releasing?

    I'm having the same problem. So I bought the pro version for $11.99 thinking that would help and it didn't. Hope this fix this soon. Can't edit anything so hard.

    I've got this issue as well. There's not enough space visible (or available) to edit properly.

    This put me in a tough spot because I had no other choice but to edit! Sure, it was easy to remove and edit the note;
    Select All ➡️ Cut ➡️ Paste into Notes ➡️ Edit ➡️ Paste Edited Note back into 1Password. But being forced to edit data in a Secure Note outside 1Password pretty much defeats the purpose ...

    - FYI -
    I think you've got a lot more people who would like this fixed ASAP, but unfortunately they're using their App Store rating & review rather than this forum. After updating my (5-Star) Review to reflect the recent App Update, I saw and read a few other reviews. This issue was mentioned in more than one of those negative reviews ...

    Exact same problem for me. (1Password 6.0, iPhone 5S, iOS 9). I started another thread about it before being made aware of this one. This bug is pretty annoying and hope it gets fixed pronto.

    I also came to the forum to add feedback on this one. 2 lines makes it difficult to edit. I was able to change things, but it's such a small window. (Note, I'm on 6+, if it helps to know that it's across multiple devices)

  • Thanks for reporting this - we have submitted as a bug.

    Thank you for submitting as a bug. A more general concern I have is "how did this pass testing?". This was a known issue in the last release, took months to fix, how was it not tested for this time around? Do we have to approach each future update worrying that we will no longer be able to edit our data?

    Looking forward to this patch. Problem still in 6.0.1. Very annoying not being to edit on a large screen. iPhone 6 Plus.

    Hi @sclaus and @revlisoft,

    I apologize for the frustration here, we'll do what we can to have this resolved as soon as possible.

    Any updates on this? Thanks.

  • Hi @revlisoft,

    We have a fix in testing and it will hopefully make it past testing and into the next update.

    Thanks.

    @Megan

    Hello Megan:

    When you say 'we'll do what we can', yet it will soon be one month without a resolution, I can't help but feel this issue has been given the lowest priority.

    I appreciate your kind words, but as we're all too aware; 'actions (or in this case inaction) speak louder than words'.

    Maybe it's just me, but as someone who began using iPhones the first day the original iPhone was released, your support team has either;

    • a significant lack of urgency or

    • an alarming lack of capability

    I can't tell you what to do, but maybe it's time to involve someone who can get things moving along? Just a thought ...

    Thanks,

    James

  • James,

    Please see my update above.

    Thanks.

    Ben,

    Gotcha.

    Thanks,

    Jim

  • Fingers crossed. It is a pain in my side too. :)
