Manually Edit Passwords

1Password 6 makes it too difficult to manually edit passwords.

Example: 1Password generates a password that has a unique character not supported by a particular website. In the past, I could manually change that particular one offending character. Now 1Password makes it exponentially harder to do this simple task. Please fix this.

  • Greetings @hlcramer,

You're right, the new approach does make it a lot trickier. The issue was passwords were subject to being accidentally recorded by the iOS keyboard in its attempt to offer constructive suggestions when you type. While the new approach is not fun it does stop this from happening. I hope we can find a more elegant approach but the priority has to be in iOS not learning your passwords by accident.

I'd like to second this. Just fought a major battle with a website (www.cub.com) and lost. The ability to constrain symbols in the generated passwords might be a viable—though less flexible—answer.
