How do I enable cookies?
I'm trying to use a banking log in and the site tells me I must enable cookies to open in the 1Password browser?
How do I do this please?

Hi @charlie999,
We don't have any settings to enable or more accurately disable cookies. I wish I could offer an explanation as to why this is happening but I can't. I do have a couple of questions that might help shed some light on the matter.
- Does the site open without issue in iOS Safari?
- In 1Password > Settings > 1Browser > User Agent you can change what 1Browser reports when asked which browser it is. Does changing it to any of the other options help at all?
I didn't perform extensive testing but what I did was log into my Amazon account and I remained logged in even after not just closing the tab but exiting 1Password and even fully quitting it. I remained logged in because of cookies which is why I'm not sure why your bank is suggesting they're not enabled. Hopefully we can figure it out. If the error is popping up even before you attempt to log in how would you feel about supplying the URL in question?

When I hit the link in 1password i Get please enable cookies screen. There is a link at the bottonm of the page stating Back To Login. When I hit this all is good and I'm at the right page.
If I hit the link but select open in Safari then I go straight to the login page.
This is the link

Hi @charlie999,
The same thing occurs on the desktop, that link shows the same error. This is hardcoded on their site, we can't work around this.
Can you try using this link instead: http://www.nandp.co.uk/17901/internet-banking
If that works, edit your Login item in 1Password to point to that address instead.

Hi
Never tried it from that link direct to be honest but see what you mean. Just changed it and working fine. Thanks.
Don't know if you noticed the next screen where it asked you for random characters of your password. Different overtime obviously and a drop down list of date information. Sometimes year sometimes month or day.
Do you think this will be something that 1Password will be able to log into in the future?

Hi @charlie999,
Never say never, but it isn't something we have plans on attempting to tackle at the moment. There is no standard established for this sort of challenge, so at the moment to handle it we'd likely have to write code for each site that does this sort of thing. That would be a very resource intensive proposition.
Also: you may want to look into the security implications of logins like this. In order to have a challenge like this they are most likely storing your password in plain text.
Thanks.
Ben
