Re-using heavily modified new-item forms?
Hi -- I've been a user of 1P for many years and I think your team makes an excellent product. At the moment I'm using it in an iOS-only capacity and have run into a situation where I think I would like to ask for some community assistance.
I've started making heavy use of various APIs scattered across the web and I want to use 1P as a way to securely store all of the API keys that I've begun to accumulate. As there wasn't a category that was a perfect fit I chose the one nearest to my needs and modified it so it stores the data exactly as I prefer. Unfortunately this is a slightly time-consuming process when there are many of these that I'd need to create. I've seen from my forum searches that it is apparently not possible to modify a new item from an existing category and then save it as a template of some kind... I also cannot duplicate and overwrite existing entries unless I purchase the desktop version to sync with. Are there any methods to accomplish my goal that I'm overlooking? Possibly there is a way to do this using the iOS 'Workflow' automation app?
If not, please take this as a feature request for the (hopefully) near future. :)
Thank you for taking the time to read through this and I would appreciate any advice that you may be able to offer.
Scott

Hi Scott ( @Method5440 ),
Thanks for the kind words and your many years of support for 1Password! And welcome to the AgileBits forum after all that time. :)
I may be able to help you with this:

In version 6 of 1Password for iOS, there's a Duplicate Category Name button near the bottom of each item's details that you can tap to create a duplicate of that item within the category:
Then you can edit the duplicate item (or even the original, e.g. keeping the duplicate as a backup) to your liking.
If you have items that serve as templates, possibly in different categories, you could add tags to identify them and remove those tags from duplicates you create from those items later.
I hope that'll work for accomplishing your goal.
Be sure to let let us know if we can assist you with anything else. Have a great week!

It's been a while but I wanted to thank you for responding, I saved a bunch of time using the duplicate/replace method you suggested. Can't believe I overlooked that one, appreciate the help!
