Master password is incorrect

Yesterday I decided to change my master password. I wrote a new one on a sheet of paper and rewritten it into iOS app. But after changing it, when I tried to open my vault, the app hanged while decrypting. To solve the problem I reinstalled the app and tried to sync back my data from iCloud. But the problem is, when I try to restore my data, the app says that my master password is incorrect. I am 100% sure that the password is correct since I wrote it on a piece of paper. Is it possible that my data got corrupted when it was synced with the iCloud? I don't have other backup.

Hi @Xurzer,

Have you tried logging in using the previous Master Password? It is possible that the change you made did not get synced to iCloud before you reinstalled.

I tried to use my previous password, it doesn't work. I am sure that new data got syced before I reinstalled the app because I remember doing it manually, what is more the password hint is different from the one that was before.

Hello @Xurzer. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're running into here. Do you have access to 1Password for Mac from the App Store? If so I'd be interested to know if it is able to unlock your 1Password data with your new password.

For some reason, I installed the app on the iPad, wrote the password and it works, thanks for your support :).
