How do I upgrade to the new 6.0 version or how do I check to see if I am already using it?

I use 1Password (the paid version) on an Apple iPad 2, an Apple iPhone 6 Plus and an Apple Watch. How do I upgrade to the new 6.0 version or how do I check to see if I am already using it?

  • Hi @melburstein1,

Once you've upgraded to iOS 9 on your device the App Store will offer 1Password 6 as an update from 1Password 5.5. You can see which version you are running in 1Password > Settings (toward the bottom).

    Thanks!

What about on the iPhone? I do not see this option in Settings.

  • Hi @SavvyGo,

These instructions are for iPhone (and iPad). You have to open the 1Password app, not the Settings app. Then within the 1Password app, select Settings. Toward the bottom of that screen it will show which version you are using.

    Thanks.

I'm running version 5.3 and I did not receive any kind prompt to update. When I go to the apple store and search for 1password all I see is the app, an option to open it, and a dropdown that allows me to share it.

Where do I go from here? How do I upgrade?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Hi @dinosaurs,

Are you running iOS 9 on your iOS devices? If not, than you can't update to 1Password 6 until you update iOS first. The App Store will automatically show you the update for 1Password 6 once you're running iOS 9.

    Hi @dinosaurs,

This is the iOS forum and there is no 1Password 6 for Mac, the latest version is 1Password 5.3, which you're running already.
