When i tap a url in 1password and user agent is set to chrome, the web page is opened in 1browser
it seems that no matter which user agent i set, web page is always opened in 1browser.
I have tried Safari and Chrome.
My Ipad air2 has version 9.1.1 which is a beta version.
I'm not sure that i am closing the browser tab so i completely close 1password and restart and page is still opened in 1browser.
What am i doing wrong?

Hi @joe935
every URL you tap in 1Password will indeed open in 1Browser. The user agent you can set is used to tell the website you are opening which browser you are using. This way you can for example prevent the see the mobile version of some sites. Setting the user agent will not change in which app a URL you tap in 1Password will be opened with.
I hope that helps.

This make no sense to me.
It is true that I can't go to the login page in the browser of my choice from the login item in 1Password? If so, this seems to be a serious flaw. Why can't we setup 1Password on iOS to open the URL on the browser of our choice?
I don't want to have to deal with a stripped down browser, just for the purposes of auto login. I do see that there is a 'Open in Safari' button in the Share' menu. From which I still need to login AGAIN.
I hope there is a good reason for this design.

Hi @DoctorBrown,
Thanks for letting us know this is a feature you're passionate about seeing in 1Password for iOS! I've added your vote to open URLs in Chrome, Safari, and other browsers to an existing feature request in our tracking system.
Please note that right now, you can tap and hold on the item's URL to open it directly in Safari, but there's no way for us to automatically fill in usernames and passwords that way. This is due to the restrictions Apple has in place around extensions to safeguard users. As it stands, it isn't possible to pass a URL to an iOS browser app and then have the extension react, it must be manually invoked by the user.

Ah, that is a reasonable workaround given the limitations Apple has in place. This should be in your instructions for using the Safari Extension. It helps that when you go to the Extension via the share icon, that the matching item is displayed as the top item in the pop up.
For some reason, the logins don't auto-submit like on the desktop. Is this also a limitation or is there something I'm missing? (new user of 1Password on iPad.)
Why is the 1Browser needed at all? (for auto fill?) I find it just gets in the way and is too light on browser features. I really prefer to stay with one browser on any device I use (if possible).

It isn't. :)
It is mostly a holdover from before we could have an extension in Safari. But some folks do find it convenient as they can look up their item in 1Password and with a single tap be taken to the website and have their credentials filled, so there is some hesitation on our part to kill it. It has become a part of many people's workflows, and unfortunately not everyone has transitioned over to the extension.
Unfortunately we haven't found a reliable way to do auto-submit on iOS.

Thanks for the info. It's helpful to understand why things work or don't. I hope you find solutions to these limitations.
