App Store is saying a new version is available 6.0.1 but I downloaded that version recently when it was posted as an upgrade from version 6.0 Has anyone else seen this and have any ideas as to if it is related to the Xcode malware issue?

  • Hi folks

1Password 6.0.1 is the latest version and was just released yesterday around 3pm EST. 1Password is not and has never been affected directly by the Xcode malware as our developers always use Xcode downloaded directly from Apple.

Has anyone else had their phone say there was a new version (6.0.1) of 1Password available after they had already installed version 6.0.1? I ended up installing the duplicate version.

@iceout yes, this happened after iOS 9.0.1 was released and installed. All recent app updates had to be installed again, not just 1Password 6 for iOS.

I've had this issue, not with 1P but with other apps. The false update notice usually went away when I was notified that legitimate updates were available. Sometimes this false update notice would last two days.

@AGMarshall I have never seen this happen previously after an iOS update. Any insight as to why apps would need to be reinstalled after the update? On my phone I had not run the 9.0.1 update yet and was still prompted to update 6 apps.

  • Hi @iceout,

Sorry, I do not have any further insight to share. 1Password 6.0.1 is indeed the latest version currently available.
