OK to sync between 1P v6 (ios) and 1P v3.8.22 (OS X Lion)?

I'm running an older white MacBook that can't update beyond OS X Lion, which means 1Password on my mac is stuck at version 3.8.22. I can, however upgrade 1Password on my ios device (currently at version 3.7.2) to version 6.

I'm wondering whether there may be problems syncing between these two versions. Since my Mac is on Lion I'd by syncing by wifi only.

Any thoughts are much appreciated!

  • Greetings @Lively_or_Not,

Now those two versions can sync but only if you use Dropbox as the sync solution. I notice you said you're currently syncing using Wi-Fi, sadly that option will not be available as Wi-Fi Sync changed dramatically in 1Password 4 and the two aren't compatible.

Dropbox did drop support for certain versions of OS X earlier this year but Dropbox on Lion still works. If you have no objections it would allow 1Password 3 for Mac to sync with 1Password 6 for iOS. You may very well have follow up questions so please do ask if you do
