Firefox extension - think it's a resource hog. How can I diagnose/help solve?

Hey all,

Firefox latest in OS X.

Haven't done any real benchmarking but I spent ~1 month with no Firefox 1password extension b/c I suspected it was being a resource hog. Finally got tired enough of going to the application and copying/pasting passwords so reinstalled the extension.

And again, when I look at CPU/memory usage, Firefox is really high.

I'd love to be able to help fix this issue, if my hunch is correct that it is actually an issue.

How can I provide appropriate logs/or benchmark numbers to help?

Thanks!

@arifb: This is the case in all modern browsers, as extensions are instantiated per window/tab. How many windows and tabs are we talking about here? As you know, the 1Password extension does a lot, so it uses some resources...and of course this will grow exponentially the more instances of it you have running at once. This is a huge problem for me too, but ultimately I am my own worst enemy: until I am willing to give up the 1Password extension or my tab addiction, regular browser restarts are a necessary evil.
