Missing touchID icon on 1Password 6.0.1

Somewhere along the way, I've lost my TouchID button on the lock screen. TouchID still works, but if I hit cancel on the touchID login, or manually lock the database, I have to enter my password. There used to be a TouchID button that I would push then be prompted for my thumbprint. This is gone.

Was this removed in a recent update?

    Hi @hellbus,

Thanks for taking the time to write to us :+1:

It is normal (expected behaviour) for the Touch ID button button to disappear for the following scenarios:

    1. When you manually lock 1Password in Settings > Security > Lock Now.
    2. When you tap on "Enter Password" on the Touch ID prompt. Note that you must use an unidentified finger before seeing the "Enter Password" button.
    3. After you failed to authenticate with Touch ID. Using an unregistered finger three times.
    4. After your device reboots.

We remove your Master Password from the iOS keychain in those cases. For more information, please refer to our Touch ID FAQ or to our Improved locking blogpost.

    Hope that this helps.

Hmm. I did not know about the "Lock now" option removing he TouchID button. Thanks for letting me know.
The issue that I was having was that when I would hit cancel, the TouchID icon would not appear below the password entry dialog. I just tried again and it did appear this time, so I don't know what was going on. I will continue to watch it and report back if the issue occurs again.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response @hellbus!

I am glad that you've sorted it all out. Please do let us know if you encounter anything unusual with Touch ID.

    Cheers!
